My Hero!

After a month or two of using a chop stick to get the key out of my ignition, Dave started devising a way in his mind to fix it permanently. He came up with the idea of a sheetrock anchor. He found one just the right size to fit into the little hole under the ignition key in the steering column and then pushed it up into the hole far enough to push the key lock up. It expands with a screw in it and therefore stays lodged in the hole. The key comes out every time now and it was a 50 cent fix job. He's my Hero!

Last week was our Ward Relief Society's Christmas Home show. I had volunteered to have our house on the tour. As the time grew near, I asked Dave to go through his magazine rack by his bedside and clean it out so our bedroom didn't look so cluttered. The next morning when I made the bed, I noticed that not only were the magazines not all over, the whole rack was gone! I found it later. It was hidden in the closet of Mindy's old bedroom. The morning of the home show, I told him he'd need to clean his pile off the night stand. When I walked back into our bedroom, the entire pile was gone. I mentioned that he sure went through that pile in a hurry. He responded, "Well, as long as nobody looks under the sink in the other bathroom, we're good!" I never looked to see if he really put it under there, but he likely did. He's still my hero because he makes me laugh.
